What is a clinical trial?
Four things worth knowing before you look.
What a clinical trial is
Research studies testing new treatments — medicines, devices, or approaches. Every treatment your doctor prescribes was once a trial. Joining one helps move medicine forward.
What joining looks like
An initial screening, regular check-ins, and honest communication about what's involved. You can leave at any time — participation is always voluntary.
Safety & your rights
Every trial is reviewed by an independent ethics board. You give informed consent before anything begins, and a safety team monitors the study throughout.
Your doctor stays involved
Concord works with your care team, not around them. Your physician stays in the loop from referral through the entire study — that's the model we're built on.
More questions come up as you look. Concord explains them along the way.

Information support only — Concord assists, never replaces, clinical judgment. Only trial sites determine eligibility.
Important: concord provides information support only. It does not determine eligibility, make recommendations, or provide medical advice. Always discuss clinical trial participation with your healthcare provider. Only the trial site can confirm eligibility after proper screening.
